Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Harryson (ranked 4277 p4p, 548 weight class) and Puncher McBoxingMan (ranked 3066 p4p, 433 weight class). Harryson comes into the arena with Entrance blaring out of the sound system. George Harryson has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Harryson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Puncher McBoxingMan!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harryson throws a right and a left that McBoxingMan avoids nicely.
Harryson misses the jab.
McBoxingMan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
McBoxingMan throws out a loose jab but Harryson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Harryson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Harryson throws a combination. McBoxingMan tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
McBoxingMan tries to clinch up but Harryson circles away and keeps his distance.
Harryson cracks McBoxingMan with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
McBoxingMan closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Harryson throws the left hand but McBoxingMan avoids the punch easily.
Harryson throws a jab but it's blocked by McBoxingMan.
McBoxingMan tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Harryson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

McBoxingMan told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

McBoxingMan drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Harryson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now McBoxingMan has Harryson in his guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
McBoxingMan wants to sweep here but Harryson controlling him for the moment.
McBoxingMan has his hands on Harryson's head, controlling the position.

McBoxingMan looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Harryson feints a jab promting McBoxingMan to slip. Harryson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. McBoxingMan slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Harryson lands with an uppercut that bounces McBoxingMan off the cage and back into range.

Harryson throws a nice looking combination but McBoxingMan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Harryson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. McBoxingMan sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Harryson is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

McBoxingMan shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



McBoxingMan fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Harryson to the ground. McBoxingMan is now in Harryson's guard.
McBoxingMan wants to control from the top but Harryson keeps moving.
Harryson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst McBoxingMan is controlling him.
McBoxingMan trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McBoxingMan drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Harryson dives on top into guard.

McBoxingMan throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

McBoxingMan rushes Harryson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Harryson tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Harryson swings wildly with an uppercut but McBoxingMan uses good head movement to avoid it.
Harryson misses with some punches.
Harryson creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through McBoxingMan's defenses.
McBoxingMan blocks a punch to the side of the head.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Harryson.
McBoxingMan is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Harryson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck McBoxingMan on the side of the head.

and Harryson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Harryson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
