Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Fra Bott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Phil Benton!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benton tests Bott's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Benton takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Bott tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Benton is able to avoid easily.
Benton throws a looping overhand right but Bott ducks down to avoid it.
Benton connects with a single shot there.
Benton misses with a jab, cross combination.
Benton misses with a jab, cross combination.
Benton throws the left hand but Bott avoids the punch easily.
Bott fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Benton manages to avoid it.
Benton leaves Bott with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
It seemed like Benton was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Benton scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Benton misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bott.
Bott swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bott blocks a jab.
Bott keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Benton.
Bott throws a jab when Benton was well out of range.
Benton tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bott manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Oooh a lovely combination from Bott sends Benton down but not out. Bott dives into side control looking to finish.


Benton is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bott lands a big elbow and you can see that really hurt Benton! Bott senses the opportunity and scores with more strikes - he's put Benton out! The ref tackles him out of the way to prevent him landing more strikes - this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Fra Bott!
After winning the bout, Fra Bott thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
