Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lowell Herring (ranked 25415 p4p, 0 weight class) and Moralez Jr (ranked 5820 p4p, 0 weight class). Moralez Jr has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lowell Herring! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Moralez Jr! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Paulo Santos and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jr shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Herring defends it nicely. Herring is looking to clinch but Jr is avoiding it.
Herring clinches. Jr avoiding damage as Herring throws knees to the body.
Jr is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Herring to keep the fight standing. Jr has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Herring after a bit of a struggle. Lowell Herring has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Moralez Jr. Herring is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Jr is defending well for now. Herring wants to break free but Jr has control.

Herring will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Herring is looking to stand up but Jr won't let him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Jr has his foot on Herring's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Herring works his way back into a safe position though. Jr is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Herring walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Jr checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Moralez Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jr drives through and clinches with Herring against the cage.
Herring is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jr pulls him back up using the underhooks. Jr pulls guard. Jr seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jr keeping moving, preventing Herring from controlling successfully.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jr pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Jr shoots in looking for a takedown. Herring manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Herring went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. That was a close round but I would say that Lowell Herring will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Jr fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Herring is looking for a counter combo. Jr takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Jr misses with a takedown attempt and Herring counters with a one-two to the body. Jr misses with a telegraphed body shot

He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Jr gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Jr apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Jr has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Jr takes the fight into the clinch. Jr manages to pull guard.

Herring knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jr on the ground. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Moralez Jr showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Lowell Herring's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!
