Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Elgin Turner (ranked 515 p4p, 63 weight class) and Jallu Pesonen (ranked 845 p4p, 100 weight class). Turner comes into the arena with wu-tang clan - da mystery of chessboxin' blaring out of the sound system. Pesonen is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: DJ Orkidea - Joutsenlaulu. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Elgin Turner! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jallu Pesonen! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Turner lands the left hand. Pesonen dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! The fighters circling - Turner throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Turner moves into range and connects with a jab. Pesonen misses with a low kick.
Turner takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Turner lands with a good body shot. Turner throws the left hand but Pesonen avoids the punch easily. Turner misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pesonen.
A swing and a miss from Turner. Turner takes a swing at Pesonen's ribcage but misses. A looping hook to the body misses from Turner. Pesonen does a little dance to reset his feet. Pesonen tries to counter by closing the distance. Pesonen slips under a jab from Turner. Pesonen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Turner tries to counter with a takedown but Pesonen is quick to defend against it. Turner moves away from the strike by Pesonen. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Turner, right into the meat.
A swing and a miss from Pesonen. Elgin Turner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Turner takes a swing at Pesonen's ribcage but misses. Turner misses with an uppercut. A telegraphed right hand from Turner misses the target. A punch lands to the side of Turner 's head but he takes it in his stride. Pesonen lands with a thumping leg kick.
Turner connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Pesonen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. A good leg kick by Turner. Turner has closed the distance and engaged Pesonen in a clinch.

A short right from Turner on the inside. Turner lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. A head punch blocked on the inside by Turner. Pesonen has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Turner uses from the top position. Pesonen keeping moving, preventing Turner from controlling successfully. Turner got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pesonen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Turner has managed to get both his arms back between Pesonen's legs - danger averted. Turner is looking to work some ground and pound but Pesonen has wrist control. Pesonen is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Pesonen being controlled here, momentarily. Pesonen not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pesonen keeping moving, preventing Turner from controlling successfully. Pesonen is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Turner got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pesonen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Turner has managed to get both his arms back between Pesonen's legs - danger averted. This has been an exciting period of action! Pesonen looking to control.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Turner chips away with some ground and pound. Pesonen working for a triangle but Turner defends it easily.

Turner will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pesonen has momentary wrist control but Turner slips an elbow through the middle. Pesonen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Turner doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Turner manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Pesonen working for a triangle but Turner defends it easily.
Pesonen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Turner gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Pesonen keeping full guard, as Turner tries to pass.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Pesonen controls Turner momentarily but Turner frees himself. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Turner accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Pesonen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Turner can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Turner pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pesonen is keeping the position for now. Turner distracts Pesonen with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Pesonen is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Pesonen is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Turner is aware though and is defending well. Turner looking to pass the guard. Turner connects with a couple of short punches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Elgin Turner dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A chopping leg kick lands by Turner. Pesonen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Turner drops down looking for a counter takedown but Pesonen sprawls and moves away. Turner is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pesonen can do to turn this around? Pesonen throws a jab but it's blocked by Turner. Pesonen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Pesonen tries to sprawl but Turner drives through with a takedown into half guard. Pesonen is looking to improve his position.
Elgin Turner overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Pesonen is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Turner is tapping! Great win for Pesonen!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Jallu Pesonen! Jallu Pesonen is the new lightweight champion! After the fight, Jallu Pesonen was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. Elgin Turner was interviewed post fight and said 'Wu Tang fuh eva!'.
