Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Reilly (ranked 740 p4p, 121 weight class) and Kevin Garbutt (ranked 455 p4p, 75 weight class). Reilly's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Whispers - Rock Steady. The crowd seem to be enjoying Garbutt's choice of entrance music: Saxon - Strong Arm of the Law. 21 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kevin Garbutt! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Lou da Vinci and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Garbutt scores with a leg kick.
A decent looking cross lands there for Garbutt. Garbutt throws a looping overhand right but Reilly ducks down to avoid it. Garbutt lands with an overhand left. Reilly slips under a jab. As Garbutt tries to get set, Reilly tries to push him back and clinch up but Garbutt manages to avoid the attempt. Reilly avoids the body shot from Garbutt.
Reilly looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Garbutt misses with a looping left. Reilly is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Reilly ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Garbutt tests Reilly's chin there with a solid looking shot. Reilly checks a leg kick. Reilly is looking to counter the offense by Garbutt and move into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Garbutt fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Reilly. Garbutt lands a nice leg kick that just misses Reilly's sensitive parts. Garbutt lands a jab to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round. A lazy left from Garbutt finds it's target. Garbutt catches Reilly with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Kevin Garbutt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Garbutt lands a high kick!

Reilly is rocked! Reilly has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Oh Reilly is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Garbutt thows a leg kick but Reilly checks it and Reilly counters with a series of strikes. Garbutt will be more careful next time no doubt. Mike Reilly is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Reilly on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Garbutt. Garbutt obviously looking to wear him down.
Reilly seems to have got his legs back now. A low kick from Garbutt is predictable there and Reilly counters with an outside leg kick.
The crowd cheers as Garbutt lands an impressive looking overhand right. Reilly doesn't seem phased though. Garbutt has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Garbutt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Garbutt misses with a hook. Reilly throws a counter high kick but Garbutt was just alert enough to avoid it. Reilly throws a right hand that Garbutt ducks under and follows up with a left that Garbutt also avoids with ease. Reilly has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Garbutt shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Reilly is trying to defend but Garbutt finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Garbutt wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reilly keeps working. Reilly trying to get back to full guard but Garbutt takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Reilly is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reilly tries to reverse the position but Garbutt maintains control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garbutt connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Oooh a big shot lands for Garbutt! Reilly is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!
