Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Duke Lupus (ranked 4361 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronald Fredrick (ranked 2838 p4p, 0 weight class). Fredrick has chosen Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz: Throw It Up as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fredrick circles away from the clinch attempt.
Despite the aggression on Fredrick's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Lupus is looking to clinch but Fredrick is avoiding it.
Fredrick fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lupus manages to avoid it.
Fredrick looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Fredrick closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Lupus's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lupus tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Fredrick manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Lupus throws a low kick but it's checked well by Fredrick.
Lupus throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Lupus takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Ronald Fredrick decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
