Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Henry The Crab! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pedro Franco! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Franco is defended easily by The Crab. Franco scores with a one two! The Crab had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. The Crab gets in close and instigates a clinch. The Crab lands an uppercut. Franco tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. The Crab just stands there and leans against the cage. Franco looking to throw knees to the head but The Crab is blocking nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The Crab pulls guard. Franco missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Franco connects with a couple of short punches. The Crab seems keen to control Franco's posture. Franco missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Crab keeping moving, preventing Franco from controlling successfully. Franco loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Franco throws an elbow that misses. The Crab uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Franco's guard. Nice move by The Crab!
Franco has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. The Crab is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Franco. The Crab is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Franco will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Franco is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Franco wants to get back to his feet but The Crab is dominant here and he's now got Franco's back! Franco trying to control but not successfully. The Crab is persistently looking for the submission but Franco is defending it well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The Crab misses with a punch to the head. The Crab trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Franco doesn't escape. The Crab has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The Crab has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Franco is in real trouble here. The Crab gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Franco is tapping out! The Crab wins by rear naked choke!
