The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Booningham unleashes a big counter combination but Fury bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

and Booningham counters with a series of strikes. Fury will be more careful next time no doubt.

Booningham defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Fury.
Fury's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Booningham connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Fury scrambles back to his feet.
Booningham tries to bum rush Fury with a series of wild strikes but Fury uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Booningham connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Fury closes this distance looking for a takedown but Booningham circles away.
Booningham swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

and Booningham counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Fury misses with a takedown
and Booningham counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Booningham lands a left and a right that send Fury crashing to the mat, dazed. Booningham thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Fury is rocked!


It looks like Nigel Fury has been cut.
Booningham throws an uppercut from hell that sends Fury clean off his feet! He's out cold! Booningham stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
