Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Michael Corvin (ranked 5828 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ove Heim (ranked 5829 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Michael Corvin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ove Heim! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Corvin throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Corvin shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Heim as he avoids it easily. Heim shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Corvin pinned against the cage. Corvin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Heim darts in and clinches Corvin up against the cage. Corvin is looking for a takedown. Heim taking a breather. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Heim prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Corvin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Heim jumps into guard, dragging Corvin to the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round. Corvin missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Corvin wants to control from the top but Heim keeps moving. That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Heim looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Heim trying to control the hands but Corvin breaks the grip. Corvin is looking to control Heim but Heim is wriggling around and keeping busy. Heim defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Corvin missing with punches from the back. Corvin avoiding Heim 's attempts to control his hands. Corvin looking for the RNC. Heim wants to escape the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Heim trying to get back to his feet but Corvin is in full control for now. Heim is in bad spot here.
Corvin is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Heim has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Corvin throwing wild punches that miss their target. I really don't envy Heim right now.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Heim is trying to get back to his feet but Corvin has full control of the position and if anything, Heim has just worked his way into a worse spot. Corvin controlling well, preventing Heim from escaping the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Corvin dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Heim shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Corvin defends it nicely. Heim shoots for a double leg takedown but Corvin sprawls well. He's pushed Heim's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. No luck for Heim with that takedown attempt. Michael Corvin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ove Heim. Corvin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Heim fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Corvin, pushing him back against the cage. Corvin fails to pull the fight into his guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Heim tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Corvin smiles and moves away.
Corvin shoots in and drives through. Heim sprawls well. Corvin shoots in but Heim avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Heim shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Corvin as he jumps to the side. Corvin fails with a takedown attempt. Heim has closed the distance and engaged Corvin in a clinch.
Heim wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. A right handed body shot lands from Heim.
Corvin is pressed up against the cage. Heim has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Corvin down to the mat. Corvin avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Heim tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Corvin swivels and escapes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Heim goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Heim ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Corvin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Heim. Heim is breathing heavily. Heim has a takedown stuffed. Michael Corvin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Heim moves into the clinch. Corvin tries to stall but Heim uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Heim wants to break the clinch but can't.
Corvin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Heim pushes Corvin back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Heim has Corvin pressed against the cage, preventing Corvin from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Corvin has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Heim after a bit of a struggle. Corvin trying to land knees to the body.
Heim lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Corvin. Heim looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Corvin prevents the takedown attempt.
Heim is trying to break the clinch but Corvin is controlling him. Corvin avoids the elbow strike from Heim, against the cage.
Heim fails to pull guard.
Heim has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Corvin clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Corvin manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Heim shoots in but no luck this time. Heim misses with a few strikes there.
It looked like Corvin was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. This has been an exciting period of action! Corvin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Corvin throws a head kick but Heim moves out of range.

Heim is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Corvin shoots in for a takedown but Heim shows good takedown defense. Corvin sets himself, and Heim steps forward looking for the clinch! Corvin avoids it this time. Heim moves into the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's one minute gone in the round. Heim closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Corvin quickly recovers to half guard. Heim takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Corvin works his way to full guard. Good work. Corvin looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Heim is on the wrong end of a couple of strikes there. Corvin working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Heim. Corvin manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Heim manages to get himself to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Heim wants to sweep but no luck. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Heim can do anything to dispel that myth. Corvin won't allow Heim to get back to his feet. Heim controlling the position. Heim wants to hit a switch here but Corvin passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Heim there! Heim keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Heim reaches up and holds on to Corvin to control the position. Heim wants to control but Corvin is having none of it.

Heim tries to improve his position but instead Corvin has taken his back! Corvin controlling well, preventing Heim from escaping the position.

Corvin lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Corvin.
