Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
15 - 8 - 1, fighting out of New York, DJ Thunda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rueben Draco!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Steve Montenegro and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Draco misses with a head kick.
Thunda drops Draco with a right and a left! Thunda comes rushing in but Draco regains his composure and manages to keep Thunda in guard.
Draco is rocked!
It looks like Rueben Draco has been cut.
Thunda slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Draco is still in real trouble! Can Thunda finish him?
Thunda continues to stall.
Draco seems to have recovered his senses.
Thunda has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Thunda.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Draco is looking to stand up but Thunda isn't so interested in that idea.
Thunda controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
A combination from Thunda does no damage.
Thunda with a nice cross.
Draco takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Draco throws a leg kick
and Thunda counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
A low kick from Draco misses
and Thunda counters with a thumping low kick.
A slapping body kick lands there for Thunda.
Draco looks winded!
Draco tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Thunda was well out of range. Poor timing from Draco.
It looked like Thunda was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Draco gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Thunda lands a jab to the nose.
Draco is aggressively charging in as Thunda backs up avoiding any damage. Thunda tosses out a jab and Draco runs right into it face first! Draco is out cold! Thunda dropped down on all fours and is barking in Draco's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). DJ Thunda!
A relieved looking DJ Thunda thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
