Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alex Silva (ranked 1865 p4p, 75 weight class) and Harry Ness (ranked 21938 p4p, 281 weight class). Harry Ness will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ness, as that shot connected.
Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ness's guard.
We've been hearing that Silva has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Ness is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Silva might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Silva wants to pass the guard but Ness is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva drops back looking for a leg! Ness is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ness manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Ness's guard.

Silva has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ness can do anything to dispel that myth.

Ness really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Silva is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Ness is refusing to be controlled, as Silva sits in half guard.

Silva has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Silva is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Ness keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Ness told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Silva fails to advance to Ness's back.
Silva unloads with some shots from mount but Ness bucks and avoids them well.

Ness is squirming around, avoiding Silva's attempts to control the action.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Ness connects with a looping right hand.
Ness slaps away a takedown attempt from Silva, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Ness scores with a jab. Silva acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Ness throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Silva on the side of the head.
Ness lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silva circles away quickly and effectively.
Ness jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Ness scores with a nice head shot.
Silva bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Silva is looking to take a break and control but Ness is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Silva is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ness can do to turn this around?
Silva works to advance to full mount. Ness defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
