Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Agamemnon Hatzitropoulos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thiago Alves could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Agamemnon Hatzitropoulos's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Thiago Alves! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Agamemnon Hatzitropoulos! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Winston Howard and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice uppercut there from Alves. Alves rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hatzitropoulos moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Alves lands with a hook. Hatzitropoulos tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Alves missing with a left hand there. Hatzitropoulos was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Alves throws a lazy right hand but Hatzitropoulos sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Alves misses with a looping right. Alves swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Hatzitropoulos closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Alves to the mat! Alves manages to get full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hatzitropoulos stops Alves from standing up. Alves keeping moving, preventing Hatzitropoulos from controlling successfully. Hatzitropoulos controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Hatzitropoulos stops Alves from standing up. Hatzitropoulos trying to control but Alves is working from the bottom. Hatzitropoulos passes into half guard. Hatzitropoulos works his way into side control. Hatzitropoulos trying to control the position but Alves is working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alves is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Hatzitropoulos asserts his dominance and retains side control. Alves is breathing heavily. Hatzitropoulos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Alves keeps working. Hatzitropoulos tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Hatzitropoulos wants to control but Alves is keeping him busy. Hatzitropoulos has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Alves!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Alves is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Hatzitropoulos has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Alves is forced to tap!
