Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Elliott Brock (ranked 7554 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Red (ranked 7539 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Elliott Brock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jackson Red! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brock shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Red as he avoids it easily. Red shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Red takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Jackson Red seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Red stuffs the takedown attempt from Brock. Brock gets slowly back to his feet. Red with a poor takedown and Brock counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Red shoots in but no luck this time. Elliott Brock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jackson Red. Brock shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Red but Red pushes him off and we're back to square one. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Red changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Brock tries to avoid it but Red manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Brock to the ground. Brock escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Red. A little feinted left hand from Brock on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brock misses with a takedown attempt and Red counters with a two punch combo. Brock closes this distance looking for a takedown but Red circles away. Brock avoids a punch combination nicely.
Brock throws a quick counter kick to the body but Red avoids it. Red gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Red blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Brock wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Red should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Red scores with an uppercut up the middle. Red pulls guard effortlessly. Red is pulling down on Brock's head to control his posture. Brock postures up.
Brock throws a big elbow that misses. Brock working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Red's head. Red controlling the position. Brock in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Red has a closed guard, preventing Brock from standing up. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brock scoring with punches to the head and body. Brock with a flurry of punches that miss.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Brock blocks a head kick by Red.
Brock throws a quick counter kick to the body but Red avoids it. Brock defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Red. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Red has eaten all the pies! Red closes this distance looking for a takedown but Brock circles away. Red slaps away a takedown attempt from Brock, before circling back to the center of the mat. Red misses with a takedown attempt letting Brock counter with a right hand. Red looks winded! Brock tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Red defends well and Brock ends up having to push Red into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Red moves into the clinch successfully.
Red letting Brock take a breather here. The referee is keeping an eye on Red - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Red. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jackson Red dominated that round. That's time! Brock's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Brock will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Red is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. No luck for Brock with that takedown attempt. Red shoots in and drives through. Brock sprawls well. Red shoots in for a takedown but Brock shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Brock swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Brock defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Red. Elliott Brock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jackson Red. Red displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Brock. Red wants to counter with a clinch but Brock pushes him away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sloppy strikes from Red. Those never looked like landing. Brock is looking to counter punch. Brock with a lazy takedown attempt and Red counters with a one-two to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice takedown defense from Brock. No joy for Red on that attempt. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Red. Red is breathing heavily. Red rushes Brock and presses him up against the cage. Red is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Brock to keep the fight standing. Brock escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Red shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Brock sprawls well. Brock wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Red gets slowly back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brock shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Red as he jumps to the side. Brock is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Red gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Red avoiding damage.
Brock's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Brock changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Red tries to avoid it but Brock manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Red to the ground. Red escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Red has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Brock is trying to break the clinch but Red has him pressed against the cage. Red is trying to force a seperation but Brock has the dominant position. A head punch blocked on the inside by Red. Red has Brock pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Brock manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Brock slowing the pace effectively. A short right from Brock. Red wants to get back to striking at distance but Brock won't allow it.
Red has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Brock is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Red is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Brock to keep the fight standing. Brock escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Brock misses with a takedown attempt - Red sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Red throws a fast counter high kick but Brock manages to duck under it in time. Red misses with a kick to the body and Brock counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Brock tries to keep at a distance but Red has taken the fight into the clinch. Brock has Red pressed against the cage, preventing Red from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Red misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Brock.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jackson Red showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Red tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Red goes for a double leg but Brock avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Brock continues to drive forward. Brock scores with a takedown into Red's guard. Brock gets to his feet. Red looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Brock with a lazy takedown attempt and Red counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Red does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Red will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Brock throws a counter high kick but Red was just alert enough to avoid it. Red takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Red shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Brock throwing a counter right hand but Red manages to avoid it. Elliott Brock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jackson Red. Red shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Brock as he avoids it easily. Brock really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Brock is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Brock lands an elbow inside. Red fails to pull guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Red moves into the clinch. Jackson Red seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Red is trying to break free. Red tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Brock's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Jackson Red seems to be getting the better of the standup. Brock shoots in and drives through. Red sprawls well. Red only half commits to the counter leg kick. Red shoots for a takedown but Brock saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Brock closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Red did well to prevent Brock getting side control. Brock looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Brock slips a nice elbow through Red's hands, connecting with Red's forehead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Red is looking for a sweep. Brock is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brock winds up and cracks Red with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Red wants to get back to his feet.
Brock gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Brock cracks Red with an open hand slap.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Red clinches with his opponent.
Brock escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jackson Red is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Brock defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Red. Brock was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Brock goes for a double leg but Red avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Red continues to drive forward. Brock shoots in for a double leg but Red sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Red defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Brock. A countering left hand to the body from Red misses. Red takes the fight into the clinch. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Brock is trying to force a seperation but Red has the dominant position.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Elliott Brock. I think Red has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
