Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ronald Kay (ranked 5937 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliver Pickering (ranked 3841 p4p, 412 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ronald Kay! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oliver Pickering! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kay clinches up with Pickering and pushes him back against the cage. Kay escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pickering throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kay was covering up waiting for the punch and Pickering finishes the takedown easily into guard. Kay pushes Pickering off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Oliver Pickering seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kay shoots in and bounces Pickering off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kay preventing the sweep. Pickering is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Pickering escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kay gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Pickering had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kay defends it easily. Kay slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pickering has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Pickering manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kay manages to get himself to full guard.
Pickering advances to half guard. Pickering wants to control but Kay is keeping him busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pickering wants to pass the guard but Kay is defending well. Kay taking some punishment here, with Pickering in his half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kay wants to control but Pickering is keeping busy.
Pickering looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Pickering is thwarting Kay's attempts to control the position. Pickering is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kay sees it coming and defends easily. Kay is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pickering pulls his head out easily. Pickering seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kay does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Pickering thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kay's head. Kay is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Still in half guard, Pickering seems content to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Pickering connects with a nice short shot to Kay's temple. Pickering is controlling the pace.
Kay knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pickering on the ground. Pickering tries to pass to full mount but Kay defends it. Pickering is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Kay on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kay tries to get out of the position. Kay is not content to let Pickering control the position. Pickering seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Pickering wants to pass the guard but Kay is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Pickering lands with a punch from half guard. Kay keeping control of the position. Pickering wants to stand but Kay has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Pickering is trying for a kimura here. Kay looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Pickering wins by kimura!
