Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Potter (ranked 705 p4p, 80 weight class) and Yes Man Sanchez (ranked 261 p4p, 34 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alexander Potter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
26 - 14 - 1, fighting out of New York, Yes Man Sanchez! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Sano and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Potter fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sanchez, pushing him back against the cage. Potter goes for a takedown attempt but Sanchez pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Potter misses with a few strikes there.
Potter tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sanchez swivels and escapes. Sanchez scores with a leg kick.
Sanchez fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Potter. Potter walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Sanchez defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Potter. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexander Potter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sanchez bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Potter tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sanchez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Potter somewhat. Sanchez misses with a body kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sanchez pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Potter blocks a jab. Potter has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Nice defenses there by Sanchez. Sanchez follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Sanchez throws out a powerful jab. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Potter feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Potter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sanchez swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sanchez has Potter pulled in close to control his posture. Potter wants to pass the guard but Sanchez is keeping the position. Potter trying to control but Sanchez is working from the bottom. Potter trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Potter is working hard here to advance position. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Sanchez holds on and takes a little breather. Sanchez's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sanchez is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Potter content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Potter slips nicely into half guard. Sanchez tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Potter has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Potter looking to control but Sanchez is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Sanchez squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Potter lands a couple of good shots and Sanchez has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Sanchez staying busy and making it hard for Potter to control. Sanchez wants to control his opponent's hands but Potter gets his hands free. Sanchez manages to reverse the position and now he's in Potter's guard. Nice work there by Sanchez.
Sanchez wanted to stand there but Potter had control of the position. Sanchez engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sanchez would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Potter keeping moving, preventing Sanchez from controlling successfully. Sanchez has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Little Lebowski Urban Achievers. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sanchez being controlled here momentarily. Potter looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Potter is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Potter tries to land a sweep but no joy. That was a close round but I would say that Alexander Potter will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Potter misses with a left hand and Sanchez counters with a slapping leg kick. Potter throws a leg kick and Sanchez counters with a stiff right hand. Potter throws a leg kick and Sanchez counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Potter drives through with a takedown into guard. Sanchez is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Sanchez has control of Potter's left arm, preventing Potter from doing any damage. Potter controls from within his opponent's guard. Sanchez pulls Potter in close to prevent any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sanchez keeping moving, preventing Potter from controlling successfully. Sanchez has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. Potter wants to pass the guard but Sanchez is keeping the position. Potter stands and throws Sanchez's legs to the side, diving into side control. Sanchez is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Potter off and has taken his back! Sanchez is riding his opponent, not letting Potter buck him off. Sanchez controlling well, preventing Potter from escaping the position.

Potter tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sanchez paws at him with a jab and circles away. Potter throws a hook to the side of Sanchez's head but Sanchez sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Sanchez doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Sanchez throws a leg kick but Potter sees it coming and moves out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Good leg kick by Sanchez there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Potter swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Potter tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Sanchez counters with a stiff right hand.

and Sanchez counters with a good, hard body kick but Potter shrugs it off. Sanchez fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Potter looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Potter cracks Sanchez with a good jab. Potter scores with a nice body kick.

Sanchez throws a lazy right hand but Potter sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Potter throws a hook but Sanchez avoids it easily. Potter misses with an uppercut. Sanchez saw that one coming. Sanchez moves out of range of the leg kick from Potter. Potter throws a chopping leg kick but Sanchez manages to avoid taking any serious damage. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Sanchez! But no joy. Potter avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Sanchez circles away from the clinch attempt.
Potter closes the distance and clinches. Sanchez tries a body shot but Potter blocks it.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Potter. Sanchez tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Sanchez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Potter throws a front kick aimed at Sanchez's knee but Sanchez avoids it well. Potter throws a jab but it's blocked by Sanchez. Sanchez swats away the attempt to clinch by Potter. Potter wants to clinch. Sanchez fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Potter. Sanchez misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Potter.
Sanchez connects with a solid leg kick. Potter ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sanchez moves away. Potter moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromSanchez. Potter avoids the body shot from Sanchez.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Potter tries for a takedown but Sanchez circles away easily and Sanchez counters with a lovely straight right hand! Sanchez defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Potter. Potter rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Sanchez counters with a straight right hand. Potter closes the distance but Sanchez moves to the side and Potter takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Potter fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sanchez, pushing him back against the cage. A short left from Sanchez. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sanchez misses with the head strike.
Potter fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Sanchez throws a punch but it's blocked by Potter. Sanchez can't find room to land a body shot as Potter controls the action.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Sanchez. Sanchez pushes Potter back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. A body shot lands from Sanchez.
And that's the end of the fight! Yes Man Sanchez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Sanchez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
