Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sendou Kitano (ranked 772 p4p, 81 weight class) and Poro Peukalo (ranked 904 p4p, 90 weight class). Kitano comes to the cage accompanied by Taeko Ohnuki - 4:00 AM. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Sendou Kitano! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Poro Peukalo! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kitano bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Kitano takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Sloppy strikes from Peukalo. Those never looked like landing. A little feinted left hand from Kitano on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Peukalo fails in his attempt to clinch. Peukalo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kitano, pushing him back against the cage. Kitano blocks the elbow strike.

It looks like Sendou Kitano has been cut. Kitano lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Kitano as Peukalo tries to tie him up. Peukalo throws an elbow that misses.
Kitano fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kitano lands with a short shot to the head. Kitano throws a head punch that misses. Peukalo comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Kitano lands a hook that snaps the head of Peukalo backwards. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A nice left hand lands by Peukalo.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kitano lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Both guys are working to get underhooks. Kitano lands with a light punch inside. Peukalo blocks an uppercut.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Peukalo swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Kitano lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Peukalo backwards. Kitano misses with a knee to the head. Kitano working some nice short punches in the clinch. Kitano lands with a right to the head. Kitano lands a left hand.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Peukalo. Peukalo tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Kitano's elbow. Kitano lands a shoulder strike. Kitano misses with a punch on the inside.

Kitano prevents Peukalo from breaking the clinch. Peukalo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Peukalo throws a looping overhand right but Kitano ducks down to avoid it. Peukalo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Peukalo chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kitano can pounce on him.
Poro Peukalo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peukalo misses with a combination
and Kitano counters with a straight right hand. Kitano moves out of range of the strikes. A decent looking cross lands there for Peukalo. Peukalo throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Kitano counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Poro Peukalo has been cut. Peukalo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kitano.
Peukalo misses with a right hand and Kitano counters with a leg kick. Peukalo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kitano circles away quickly and effectively. Peukalo misses with a right hand and Kitano makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Kitano has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Nice straight punches there by Peukalo. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Peukalo. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kitano ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Kitano feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Peukalo sprawling to the canvas! Peukalo rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Kitano finish him?!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Peukalo wants to clinch up but Kitano keeps it at a distance. Peukalo falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kitano rattles Peukalo with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Peukalo tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Kitano dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Peukalo stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Sendou Kitano! Sendou Kitano was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
