The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanna misses with a head kick.
Sanna plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Sargent gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Sargent wants to clinch.
Sargent looks for a takedown but Sanna sprawls well.
Sanna throws a lazy body kick
and Sargent makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Sanna really felt that one!
Sargent shoots in for a takedown but Sanna shows good takedown defense.
Sanna throws a big counter combination but Sargent scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Sanna scores with a nice head shot.
Sanna blocks a head kick by Sargent.
Sanna connects with a high kick.
Sargent throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sanna's waist but Sanna gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sargent off to one side.
Michael Sanna has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shaun Sargent.
