Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jose Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Capeta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andre Capeta!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez missing with a left hand there. Capeta was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Capeta fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Capeta shoots in for a takedown but Rodriguez shows good takedown defense.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Capeta shoots in but Rodriguez avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jose Rodriguez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Capeta.
Capeta looks for a takedown but Rodriguez sprawls well.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Capeta fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Capeta closes the distance and clinches up with Rodriguez, looking for a takedown. Capeta pushes Rodriguez against the cage but Rodriguez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Rodriguez throws a hook but Capeta blocks it.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Capeta changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rodriguez tries to avoid it but Capeta manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rodriguez to the ground. Rodriguez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Rodriguez throws a big shot that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Rodriguez's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Capeta tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rodriguez swivels and escapes.
Rodriguez lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
It looks like Andre Capeta has been cut.
Rodriguez pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Capeta has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Capeta there as he acknowledges the shot.
Capeta uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Rodriguez.

Capeta shoots in but Rodriguez avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Capeta shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rodriguez's guard.
Rodriguez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Capeta on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rodriguez wants to stand up but Capeta is controlling him.
Capeta drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Capeta as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Rodriguez screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Capeta! Nice submission victory there!
