Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Custavo Ramos (ranked 7314 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dongsu Kim (ranked 2773 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Custavo Ramos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dongsu Kim! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Sandra Marshall and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kim gets in close and instigates a clinch. Kim drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ramos gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Ramos has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kim avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Kim prevents the takedown attempt.
Kim has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ramos is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Ramos has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kim avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Custavo Ramos. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ramos wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Kim's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Ramos misses with a takedown and Kim counters with a three punch combo that has Ramos backing up. Ramos nods at Kim to acknowledge the strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. An inside leg kick lands from Kim. Horrible takedown attempt by Ramos or perhaps it was just good defense by Kim, which made it look bad. Kim has managed to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ramos is trying to force a seperation but Kim has the dominant position. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Kim. Kim looking for a takedown. Kim's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Ramos throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kim's waist but Kim gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ramos off to one side. Ramos tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kim sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ramos somewhat. Ramos tries to close the distance and clinch but Kim swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Kim goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
It looks like Custavo Ramos has been cut. Ramos tries to clinch and Kim counters with a two punch combo. Ramos fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ramos misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Kim shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ramos but Ramos pushes him off and we're back to square one. Ramos gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kim to score an easy takedown into full guard. Ramos is looking to stand back up but Kim counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Ramos. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kim maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Ramos could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Kim has cracked it and Ramos is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Kim!
