Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dawid Kasperski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Assan Karim Chorr!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kasperski pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Chorr shoots in looking for a takedown but Kasperski manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Chorr's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Kasperski looks to land a combination but Chorr avoids it well.

Kasperski drives through and clinches with Chorr against the cage.
Chorr jumps guard but Kasperski turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Chorr throws a punch but it's blocked by Kasperski.

Kasperski breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Chorr lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Kasperski backs up against the cage.

Kasperski pushes Chorr up against the cage in a clinch.
Kasperski jumps guard but Chorr stands there with Kasperski around his waist. Kasperski gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Kasperski manages to break the clinch.
Chorr fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
It looked like Kasperski was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Chorr.
Dawid Kasperski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Assan Karim Chorr.

Kasperski drives through and clinches with Chorr against the cage.

Kasperski escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Chorr shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kasperski as he avoids it easily.
Chorr defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kasperski.
Chorr now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Chorr fails to land the takedown.
Kasperski throws a counter high kick but Chorr was just alert enough to avoid it.
Chorr fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kasperski avoids it really well and circles away.
Chorr avoids the head kick by Kasperski.
Chorr throws a counter combo.
Nice takedown defense from Chorr. No joy for Kasperski on that attempt.
Chorr looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Kasperski closes the distance and clinches.

Chorr working hard to break the clinch.
Kasperski misses with a body punch.

Chorr gets control of Kasperski's arms and successfully pulls guard. Chorr will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Chorr is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Kasperski engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Kasperski seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Chorr for as long as he can get away with.
Chorr looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Kasperski puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Kasperski is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Chorr manages to get to full guard.
Chorr wants to stand up but Kasperski is controlling him.
Kasperski postures up.
Kasperski controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Chorr looking for a guillotine here but Kasperski defends easily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Kasperski has gone for a leg lock! Chorr slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kasperski's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kasperski seems keen to control Chorr's posture.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kasperski lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dawid Kasperski dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Chorr misses with a left hand
and Kasperski counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Chorr closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kasperski circles away.
A head kick misses from Kasperski.
A left lands for Kasperski.
Kasperski is trying hard to land a takedown here. Chorr sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Chorr defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kasperski.
Kasperski is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Chorr can do to turn this around?
Chorr scores with a jab to the head.
Chorr misses with a straight right.
Chorr fails in his attempt to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chorr stalks Kasperski and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kasperski's face. Kasperski staggers backwards, shaken.
Kasperski looks for a takedown but Chorr sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dawid Kasperski. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Chorr tries to clinch up but Kasperski circles away and keeps his distance.

Kasperski fails with the takedown.
Chorr drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Kasperski defends it well.
Chorr shoots in looking for a takedown. Kasperski tries to sprawl out of it but Chorr keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kasperski manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Kasperski takes the fight into the clinch.
Kasperski stalls.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Kasperski breaks the clinch.

Kasperski stuffs the takedown attempt from Chorr. Chorr gets slowly back to his feet.
Chorr misses with a hook to the body
and Kasperski connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Chorr throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kasperski's waist but Kasperski gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Chorr off to one side.
No luck for Kasperski with that takedown attempt.
Chorr fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Chorr misses with a shot to the kidneys.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kasperski pushes Chorr back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Chorr is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kasperski pulls him back up using the underhooks.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Kasperski.

Chorr drags the fight down to the ground.
Kasperski is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Chorr pushes a forearm under Kasperski's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Kasperski is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
