Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Michael Corvin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bruce Terol! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Santiago Holmes and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Terol tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Corvin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. The fight moves into the clinch position. Terol can't break the clinch.
Terol tries a knee to the head but Corvin blocks it.
Corvin takes a shot to the head. Corvin jumps guard.
Corvin is controlling Terol's posture. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Corvin manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Terol manages to get himself to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Terol is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Corvin looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Terol wants to stand but Corvin is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Corvin landing some decent shots from guard. Corvin won't allow Terol to get back to his feet. Corvin stays in close to Terol's body and controls the position. Terol is looking to stand back up but Corvin counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Terol. Corvin controlling the pace. Corvin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

It looks like Michael Corvin has been cut. Terol misses with a jab, cross combination.
No luck for Corvin with that takedown attempt. Corvin looks to clinch and Terol counters with a three punch combo that has Corvin backing up. Corvin nods at Terol to acknowledge the strikes. Bruce Terol is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Terol tries to close the distance and clinch up but Corvin swats him away and circles back towards the center. Terol throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Corvin swats away the attempt to clinch by Terol. Corvin is looking for a counter combo. Terol with a body punch. A glancing blow. Bruce Terol seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Terol wants to clinch up but Corvin keeps it at a distance. Corvin shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Corvin clinches with his opponent.
Terol is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Corvin gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Terol unloads a knee to the mid-section. Terol throws a knee to the head but misses.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Terol gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Corvin.

Bruce Terol dominated that round. The cut man is working on Michael Corvin's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Corvin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Terol is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Corvin is controlling him. Corvin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Corvin postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Corvin with a nice head shot there. Terol wants to stand and escape but Corvin is having none of it. Corvin showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Terol tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Corvin plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Terol throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Terol throws a head kick that Corvin semi-blocks.
Terol delivers a nice body kick. Corvin rushes Terol and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Terol wants to get back to striking at distance but Corvin won't allow it.

Terol ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Terol no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Terol is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Corvin is controlling him. Corvin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Terol is keeping the position for now. Terol wants to stand and escape but Corvin is having none of it. Terol is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Corvin dives into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Terol is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Corvin has just dragged him back down to the mat. Corvin working the ground and pound from side control. Terol is trying to escape and get back to his feet. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Michael Corvin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Corvin content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Corvin closes the distance and clinches. Terol gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. A frustrated look appears on Terol's face as he tries to break the clinch. Corvin has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Terol after a bit of a struggle. Terol missing with knees to the body.

That was a close second round but I would say that Michael Corvin will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Michael Corvin's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Terol leaves Corvin with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Terol throws a head kick but Corvin moves out of range.
Michael Corvin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Corvin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Terol throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Corvin on the side of the head. Terol tries to clinch there but Corvin circles away.
Corvin half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Terol gets a clinch. Corvin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Terol walks away with a smile on his face. Corvin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Corvin dives in and grabs Terol's left leg, looking for a takedown. Terol pushes down on Corvin's head and hops out. Terol moves into the clinch. Corvin drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Terol gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Terol clinches up against the cage. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Corvin tries to pull guard but Terol won't allow it.

Terol goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Terol fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Corvin looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Terol is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Terol rushes Corvin and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Corvin is trying to force a seperation but Terol has the dominant position. Corvin prevents Terol from breaking the clinch. Corvin manages to pull guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Terol working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Corvin tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Corvin is working hard here to advance position. Terol wants to control from the top but Corvin keeps moving. Terol works over Corvin with some ground and pound from guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Terol throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Terol trying to control but Corvin is working from the bottom.

And that's the end of the fight! Bruce Terol comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Terol has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
