The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandez fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Edwards on the side of the head.
Edwards on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Edwards takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Edwards is breathing heavily.
Edwards tries for a takedown but Fernandez circles away easily
and Fernandez counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Fernandez jabs at Edwards's body.
Fernandez drops Edwards with a beautiful combination! Edwards stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Fernandez is looking for the KO!
It looks like Roy Edwards has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Edwards backs away from a small jab... but Fernandez lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Edwards crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Fernandez with a spectacular finish!
