Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ronie Cash (ranked 1809 p4p, 216 weight class) and Joy Rones (ranked 863 p4p, 108 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ronie Cash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joy Rones!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Tarja Halkonen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rones takes one on the button.
Cash looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Rones lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Cash throws a head kick that Rones semi-blocks.
Ronie Cash seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
An inside leg kick from Cash misses.
Cash tries to bum rush Rones with a series of wild strikes but Rones uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rones lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Rones works Cash's body with a nice hook.
Cash lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Rones at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A punch combination from Cash misses.
Cash fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Rones looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

letting Rones counter with a right hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cash bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Rones's head backwards.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A lazy left from Cash finds it's target.
Rones lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rones moves out of range as Cash throws a body kick.
Rones throws out a counter right but Cash avoids it with no problem.
Cash tries to land a front kick but Rones steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
A little jabbing left from Rones on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Cash misses with a body shot.
Cash throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Rones counters with a crisp right hand that drops Cash! Rones lets Cash back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rones uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cash.
Cash with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Rones takes a swing at Cash's ribcage but misses.
Cash fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Cash displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rones throws out the jab.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Good exchange - Cash coming out on top.
Cash misses with a low kick.
Cash digs a good hook to Rones's body.

Cash shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cash showed some decent athleticism there.
Rones is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Rones looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Rones is pressing down on Cash's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Cash trying to control the position from guard on top but Rones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rones has control of Cash's left arm, preventing Cash from doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rones is trying to keep Cash in close.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rones displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cash throws out the jab.
Cash cracks the inside of Rones's front leg.
Rones misses with an uppercut. Cash saw that one coming.
Cash fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Rones has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Rones takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Cash blocks a jab.
Rones slaps away a takedown attempt from Cash, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Cash doesn't succeed with the takedown
letting Rones counter with a right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ronie Cash. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rones walks into a left hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ronie Cash will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Rones pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Cash is looking to counter punch.
Cash throws a lazy right hand but Rones sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Cash displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rones throws out the jab.
Cash lands a jab to the nose.
Cash throws an off balance right hand
and Rones counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Cash thumps Rones with a low kick.
Rones blocks the body kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A left lands for Cash.
Rones misses with a hook.
Cash smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cash misses with a combination

and Rones counters with a nice right hand that sends Cash toppling to the canvas! Cash scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Rones finish him?!


Cash is rocked!
Rones lands with a shot to the body.
Oh Cash is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Rones engages and cracks Cash with a massive lead left hook - Cash tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Rones is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Joy Rones!
A very excited looking Joy Rones made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
