Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kyle Austin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Yan Cropop!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Donald Grub and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Austin lands a jab to the nose.
Kyle Austin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cropop shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Austin pinned against the cage. Austin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Austin swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Cropop with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Austin to score with a decent uppercut.
Cropop looks for a takedown but Austin sprawls well.
Austin tests Cropop's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Austin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Cropop goes for a double leg but Austin avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Austin continues to drive forward.
Kyle Austin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yan Cropop.
A jab from Austin finds it's way through Cropop's defenses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Austin connects with a nice looking jab.
Austin thuds a left hand into Cropop's body.
Austin keeps the fight on the outside.
Austin cracks a nice hook into Cropop's ribs.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Austin gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Austin working for a triangle but Cropop defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Austin working a defensive guard but Cropop manages to pass into side control anyway.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cropop is looking to take a break and control but Austin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Cropop has hold of Austin's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Austin seems comfortable defending it but Cropop has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Austin is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Austin is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Cropop couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Yan Cropop!
A very excited looking Yan Cropop made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
