Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Segey Taranin (ranked 3411 p4p, 292 weight class) and Baeddan MacAuliffe (ranked 3875 p4p, 321 weight class). MacAuliffe has chosen Notorious by Duran Duran as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Donald Grub and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacAuliffe throws a right and a left that Taranin avoids nicely.
Taranin throws a looping overhand right but MacAuliffe ducks down to avoid it.
MacAuliffe throws a combination that misses
and Taranin counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
MacAuliffe is trying to control but Taranin passes into side control!
MacAuliffe gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
MacAuliffe gets back to full guard.
Taranin in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
MacAuliffe looking for a guillotine here but Taranin defends easily.
Taranin content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
MacAuliffe is looking for a triangle but Taranin pushes his legs off easily.
Taranin got a little sloppy there for a moment and MacAuliffe has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Taranin has managed to get both his arms back between MacAuliffe's legs - danger averted.

Our spies down at at Russian Bears Training Center inform us that MacAuliffe has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Taranin is nestled in close to MacAuliffe, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Taranin is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, MacAuliffe has managed to free his arm - good work.
MacAuliffe wants to control but Taranin is keeping busy.

MacAuliffe tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Taranin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Taranin passes to full mount! That's big trouble for MacAuliffe!
Taranin lands a big elbow - MacAuliffe is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and MacAuliffe is forced to tap out!
