Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Downs (ranked 25286 p4p, 0 weight class) and Izuku Midoriya (ranked 6748 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Carlos Downs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Izuku Midoriya! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shigeki Sano and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Midoriya closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Downs quickly recovers to half guard. Downs has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Midoriya is on him like a limpet, forcing Downs back against the cage. Downs is trying to force a seperation but Midoriya has the dominant position. Midoriya has hold of one of Downs's legs. Downs is fighting the takedown attempt but Midoriya gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Downs kicks Midoriya off and gets to his feet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Midoriya throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Downs tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Midoriya is in Downs's guard. Downs pushes Midoriya off and scrambles back to his feet.
Midoriya throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Downs was covering up waiting for the punch and Midoriya finishes the takedown easily into guard. Downs has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Midoriya has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Midoriya tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Downs's elbow. Midoriya wants to stall.
Downs's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Downs scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Midoriya shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Downs's guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. Downs manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Downs lands a body shot in the clinch.
Midoriya takes a knee to the side of the body. Midoriya wants to break the clinch but can't.

That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Midoriya shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Downs napping and manages to drive through into side control! Downs bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Downs gets caught napping as Midoriya dives in and scores a takedown. Downs manages to retain guard. Downs has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Midoriya off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Downs tries to sprawl but Midoriya drives through with a takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Downs looking for submissions off his back. Downs is breathing heavily. Midoriya missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Midoriya is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Downs moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Midoriya wants to control from the top but Downs keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Midoriya throwing strikes but missing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Downs lands an upkick as Midoriya stands over him. Midoriya throwing strikes but missing. Midoriya looking to sit in guard and control but Downs gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Midoriya controls Downs momentarily but Downs frees himself. Midoriya looking for subs off his back but Downs has passed one foot through into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carlos Downs dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Midoriya closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Downs did well to prevent Midoriya getting side control. Downs manages to escape and get back to his feet! A left lands for Downs. Downs shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Midoriya is trying to defend but Downs finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Downs controlling the action here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Midoriya is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Midoriya keeps trying to improve his position. Midoriya missing with punches from the bottom.
Downs wants to free his trapped foot but Midoriya is holding on for dear life with his legs. Midoriya throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Midoriya makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Midoriya. Midoriya being controlled here, momentarily. Midoriya is striking but Downs is not phased and passes to half guard. Midoriya punching from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Midoriya wants to get back to full guard but Downs has passed into side control. Downs scores with punches from side control. Midoriya tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Downs easily slips into full mount! Downs tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Midoriya is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Downs controlling his opponent. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Midoriya keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carlos Downs dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Midoriya looking to score a takedown here. Downs is defending well but Midoriya drives through and ends up in Downs's guard. Downs has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Midoriya is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Downs really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Downs's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Midoriya closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Downs did well to prevent Midoriya getting side control. Downs manages to escape and get back to his feet! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Midoriya closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. A short uppercut from Downs. Midoriya trying to control the position but instead, Downs has worked for underhooks and has pushed Midoriya into the cage. Midoriya jumps into guard, dragging Downs to the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Downs is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Downs lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Downs gets to his feet. Midoriya looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Izuku Midoriya is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Midoriya misses with a combination
and Downs counters with a left to the body. A momentary lapse in concentration from Downs enables Midoriya to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Downs manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Downs scrambles and gets back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Downs gets caught flat footed, as Midoriya shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Downs is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Midoriya presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Midoriya with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Midoriya gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Downs regains guard.
Downs has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Midoriya has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Midoriya trying to stall but Downs improves his position.
Downs is looking to break free of the clinch but Midoriya has double underhooks. Midoriya trying to stall but Downs improves his position.
Downs breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Midoriya forces Downs back against the cage and clinches. Downs breaks the clinch.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Downs. Downs taking a breather here. Downs working the body and head with strikes. Midoriya is trying to buck Downs off.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Downs taking a breather here. Midoriya tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Downs punishing his opponent with strikes. Midoriya is working to get back to half guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Carlos Downs showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Downs, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
