Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Pony Mclovin (ranked 4442 p4p, 439 weight class) and Eli Takesian (ranked 3096 p4p, 339 weight class). Mclovin's entrance music is Redbone- Come And Get Your Love. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pony Mclovin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eli Takesian!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, William Gold and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mclovin dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Takesian misses with a telegraphed body shot
letting Mclovin counter with a right hand.
Mclovin scores with a hook to the body. Takesian takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Takesian misses with a wild body shot.
Mclovin feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Mclovin uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Takesian.
Mclovin punishes Takesian's body with a nice straight punch.
Mclovin moves away from the strike by Takesian.
Takesian closes the distance looking to clinch

Mclovin uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Takesian.
Takesian misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
It looked like Mclovin was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Takesian jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Mclovin shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Takesian takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Takesian is rocked!
Takesian steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Mclovin. That one must have hurt.
Takesian is still on wobbly legs! Can Mclovin finish him?
Takesian pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Mclovin looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Eli Takesian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Takesian's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Mclovin connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Takesian scrambles back to his feet.
Takesian misses with a shot to the body
and Mclovin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Takesian with a nice cross.
Takesian bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mclovin's head backwards.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Mclovin crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Takesian - the referee stops the clock and Mclovin gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Takesian. Mclovin manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Takesian throws a jab when Mclovin was well out of range.
Takesian seems to have recovered his senses.
Mclovin has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Mclovin swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Takesian throws a leg kick but Mclovin checks it.
It appears Mclovin was looking to counter with a kick there.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mclovin ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Takesian throws a body punch but Mclovin moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Eli Takesian will probably get the nod.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mclovin feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Takesians jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Takesian is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Takesian throws a chopping leg kick but Mclovin manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Mclovin slips under a jab from Takesian.
It looked like Mclovin wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Mclovin is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Takesian can do to turn this around?

and Mclovin counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Mclovin catches Takesian napping and connects with a fantastic 3 punch combination that sends Takesian crashing to the mat! He's still conscious but he's all over the place - can he beat the count?!? 4,5,6,7,8...9...10! He didn't make it back to his feet! Mclovin raises both arms skywards and takes in the roar from the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Pony Mclovin!
Pony Mclovin was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
