0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Speed! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Speed is looking to clinch. Marshall Jr shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Speed pinned against the cage. Speed gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Speed tries to clinch but Marshall Jr moves out of range. Speed dodges the punch combination from Marshall Jr.
A head kick misses from Speed. Marshall Jr looking for a takedown here - he's got it. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Marshall Jr accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Marshall Jr trying to control the position from guard on top but Speed is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Marshall Jr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Speed swivels though and keeps the full guard. Marshall Jr stands and steps away. Speed gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Max Speed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Marshall Jr circles away from the clinch attempt and Marshall Jr decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Speed's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Speed is looking to stand up but Marshall Jr isn't so interested in that idea. Marshall Jr would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Speed wants to stand up but Marshall Jr is controlling him.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Speed tries to clinch but Marshall Jr moves away so Marshall Jr counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Marshall Jr wants to pass the guard but Speed is keeping the position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. That was a close round but I would say that Dan Marshall Jr will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Marshall Jr pushes Speed against the cage but Speed circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Marshall Jr tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Speed moves into range and clinches up with Marshall Jr. Speed tries to stall but Marshall Jr uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Marshall Jr feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Speed is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Marshall Jr is controlling him well. Marshall Jr is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Speed is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The referee asks Marshall Jr politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Marshall Jr prefers to stall for the moment though. Speed is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Marshall Jr has just dragged him back down to the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Speed is not content to let Marshall Jr control the position. Speed pushes Marshall Jr away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Marshall Jr gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Marshall Jr slows the pace down. Marshall Jr wants to control for a moment but Speed uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Marshall Jr is looking to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Marshall Jr is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Speed's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Speed's back! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Marshall Jr tightening his grip on Speed, looking for the choke. Marshall Jr just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
And that's the end of the fight! Dan Marshall Jr showed his dominance in that final round. I think Marshall Jr has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
