1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pablo Esco! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Esco moves into the clinch. Esco tries to land a knee to the head but Cage blocks with his arms.
Cage tries to score a body lock takedown but Esco shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Esco throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Cage blocks it with crossed arms. Esco looking to throw knees to the head but Cage is blocking nicely.

Esco is working Cage over against the cage. Esco lands with a left to the head. Cage creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Cage blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Esco with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Esco is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Cage is looking to take this one to the mat. Cage jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Esco walks away with a smile on his face. Cage gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luke Cage. That's going to take a lot out of him. An inside leg kick lands from Esco. Cage dives in and scores a takedown into Esco's guard. Esco has his feet on Cage's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Esco with a jab. Esco throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Cage counters with a takedown into side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cage is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Esco has escaped the position, nice work there. Cage is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Esco is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
