Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Victor Fox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Action Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Fox.
Jackson tries for a takedown but Fox sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Jackson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Fox looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jackson is fending him off so far but Fox persists. Nope, Jackson circles away and we're back to standing.

and Fox makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Victor Fox has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Action Jackson.

Jackson tries for a takedown but Fox sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Fox avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Fox moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Fox bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Jackson jumps guard but Fox turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Fox's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Jackson dives in for a single leg takedown but Fox sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Fox takes the fight into the clinch.
Jackson stops a takedown attempt from Fox.
Fox is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

Fox looking for a takedown.

Fox pulls Jackson into guard.
Fox has his hands on Jackson's head, controlling the position.
Fox is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Fox keeping moving, preventing Jackson from controlling successfully.

Fox escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jackson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Jackson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Fox wants to improve his position but instead Jackson has moved into half guard.
Fox preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Fox has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Jackson is on him like a limpet, forcing Fox back against the cage.
Jackson can't break the clinch.
Jackson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Fox just stands there and leans against the cage.
Fox prevents a takedown attempt there.
Jackson tries for a takedown. No joy.
Jackson gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Fox.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Victor Fox dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Jackson stuffs the takedown.

Fox gets caught napping as Jackson dives in and scores a takedown. Fox manages to retain guard.

Fox pushes Jackson off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Fox ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Jackson is looking to clinch.
Jackson misses with a low kick.
Jackson leaves Fox with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Victor Fox is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jackson has his takedown stuffed
and Fox counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Fox fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Victor Fox. That's going to take a lot out of him.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jackson is defended easily by Fox.
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch but Fox swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jackson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Fox manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Fox's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Fox duly obliges.
Jackson slaps away a takedown attempt from Fox, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Jackson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Fox pulls guard successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fox wants to sweep but no luck.
Jackson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Fox has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Jackson off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Fox taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fox has Jackson pressed against the cage, preventing Jackson from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Fox gets control of Jackson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Fox will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Jackson postures up in Fox's guard and throws a big left but Fox blocks it.
Fox lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Fox slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Fox throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Jackson trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Fox gets to his feet - Jackson follows without any prompting.
Jackson lands with a slapping head kick.
Fox tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jackson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fox somewhat.
Jackson moves in looking to clinch but Fox pushes him off.
Jackson scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Victor Fox dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Jackson tries to clinch there but Fox circles away.
Jackson tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Fox is able to avoid easily.
Jackson goes for a double leg but Fox avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Fox continues to drive forward.

Fox manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Jackson on his heels. He'll look to pass Jackson's guard now, I'm sure.
Jackson is looking to stand back up but Fox counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Jackson.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jackson is defending against the submission attempts here by Fox.
Fox wants to pass the guard but Jackson is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Fox is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jackson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Fox.
Jackson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Fox seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jackson is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Fox jumps into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jackson tries to bench press Fox off him but Fox keeps the position.
Fox remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Fox advances to mount.

Jackson tries to hold on but Fox pushes him away.
Fox content just to control the position here.
A nice elbow there by Fox.
Fox looking to ground and pound but Jackson is blocking nicely.

Fox is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jackson can do to turn this around?
Poor strikes thrown by Fox there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Fox's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Victor Fox showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Fox has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
