Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Anibal Hogan (ranked 5820 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Cyrus (ranked 25367 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Anibal Hogan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jake Cyrus!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cyrus fails with a takedown attempt.
Cyrus looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Cyrus shoots in looking for a takedown. Hogan tries to sprawl out of it but Cyrus keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hogan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hogan moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Hogan misses with a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hogan darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Hogan perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Hogan is nestled in close to Cyrus, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hogan connects with a nice short shot to Cyrus's temple.
Hogan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hogan wants to stand up but Cyrus is controlling the position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hogan in particular looking to stall.

Cyrus looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Cyrus on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hogan connects with a nice short shot to Cyrus's temple.
Hogan winds up and cracks Cyrus with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Hogan looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cyrus with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Hogan stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Cyrus has hold of Hogan's hands but Hogan slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
