The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwin throws a low kick, looking for Springfield's leg but Springfield calmly moves out of range.
Springfield fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Springfield delivers a nice body kick.
Edwin takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Springfield throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Edwin counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Edwin let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Edwin scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Springfield doesn't seem bothered though.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Springfield throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Edwin has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Springfield throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

Good leg kick by Springfield there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Springfield keeps Edwin at a distance using the push kick.

Springfield uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Edwin.

Springfield throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Edwin.
Edwin misses with a low kick.
Springfield scores with a hook to the body. Edwin takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Springfield chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Edwin can pounce on him.

It looked like Springfield was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Edwin.

Springfield lands a right hook to the body.

Springfield closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Springfield moves into full mount! Edwin won't be happy about that!

Edwin is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Springfield locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Edwin is forced to tap!
