Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Salazar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Sven Lundgren!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Colin Fotheringham and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lundgren throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Salazar was covering up waiting for the punch and Lundgren finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Lundgren in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Lundgren trying to control the position from guard on top but Salazar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Salazar utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Salazar looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lundgren is one step ahead there.
Lundgren stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Salazar swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Salazar seems keen to control Lundgren's posture.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lundgren is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Salazar looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Lundgren is fighting to break Salazar's control of his arms but Salazar is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

and Salazar cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Salazar throws out a powerful jab.
Salazar is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Salazar.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Lundgren will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Lundgren shoots in but Salazar avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Salazar throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lundgren sees it coming and avoids it easily.
It looks like Salazar has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Lundgren misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

and Salazar counters with a nice low kick that buckles Lundgren's knee momentarily.
Michael Salazar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sven Lundgren.
Salazar clobbers Lundgren with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Salazar rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Lundgren decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Salazar's guard.

Salazar pushes Lundgren off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lundgren shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Salazar as he jumps to the side.

Salazar takes a swing at Lundgren's ribcage but misses.
Lundgren tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Salazar is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lundgren is defended easily by Salazar.

Salazar cracks Lundgren with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Lundgren looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Salazar finish him?

Lundgren scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Salazar feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Lundgren sprawling to the canvas! Lundgren rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Salazar finish him?!
