Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tomy Di Pietro (ranked 2269 p4p, 337 weight class) and Mike Kyle (ranked 3292 p4p, 449 weight class). Kyle has chosen Barbie Girl as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Illya Tyunina and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Di Pietro pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Di Pietro seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Di Pietro looks to land a body kick but Kyle moved away.
Kyle takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Di Pietro lands with a nice body kick.
An inside leg kick from Kyle misses.
Di Pietro throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Mike Kyle has been cut.
Kyle tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That kick from Di Pietro tenderised Kyle's leg. Kyle is trying to keep his angry face on.
Di Pietro misses with an attempted mid kick.
Kyle shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Di Pietro but Di Pietro pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Kyle counters with a one-two to the body.
Kyle takes one to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kyle takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Di Pietro throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Di Pietro fakes the leg kick and cracks Kyle in the body.
Di Pietro throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Di Pietro lands a big head kick that sends Kyle tumbling to the mat! Di Pietro takes a step backwards and waves Kyle back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Kyle is rocked!

Kyle is still on wobbly legs! Can Di Pietro finish him?
Di Pietro scores with a kick to the midsection.
A slapping body kick lands there for Di Pietro.
Kyle seems to have recovered his senses.
Di Pietro misses with an attempted mid kick.
Di Pietro cracks the inside of Kyle's front leg.
Di Pietro goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Tomy Di Pietro is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Di Pietro just misses with a punch to the body.

Di Pietro showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kyle.
Kyle moves out of range of the body kick.
Kyle looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Di Pietro scores with a hook to the body. Kyle takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Whack! Di Pietro lands a heavy head kick that drops Kyle. The ref tackles Di Pietro to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Kyle was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Tomy Di Pietro!
Tomy Di Pietro retains his light heavyweight title!
Tomy Di Pietro decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
In defeat, Mike Kyle stepped up to the mic, saying 'This guy stinks? Why this guy? Have you even seen my record? No way this guy wins!!!'.
