Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jim McNulty!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Atkins and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by McNulty.
Jim McNulty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sonnen doesn't succeed with the takedown
letting McNulty counter with a right hand.
McNulty bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Sonnen's head backwards.
McNulty throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Sonnen counters with a single leg into guard. McNulty didn't expect that.
Sonnen makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Sonnen with a flurry of punches that miss.

Sonnen postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Sonnen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Sonnen looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McNulty can do anything to dispel that myth.
A big shot lands for Sonnen! That's hurt McNulty! Will he recover? Sonnen fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
