Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jr Smith (ranked 3942 p4p, 395 weight class) and Mikel Hardecker (ranked 4636 p4p, 450 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Hardecker's choice of entrance music: Walk. Mikel Hardecker looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hardecker, pushing him back against the cage.
Hardecker looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Hardecker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Smith has managed to clinch.
Hardecker holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Smith is trying to break free.
Smith tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Hardecker jumps guard and drags Smith to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Smith trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hardecker's guard.
Smith decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Hardecker, up you get!
Smith lands a body shot.
Smith cracks Hardecker with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Smith has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Hardecker to stand back up!
It looks like Mikel Hardecker has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hardecker ducks into an uppercut from Smith and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jr Smith !
Jr Smith took some time post fight to say the following; 'This is your champion? 170 division answers to me now!'.
