Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Taras Shevchenko (ranked 3965 p4p, 146 weight class) and Pedro Aristides Leopoldo (ranked 5488 p4p, 178 weight class). Leopoldo has chosen Carmina Burana - Carl Orff as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Taras Shevchenko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
27 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pedro Aristides Leopoldo! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leopoldo misses with a shot to the body and Shevchenko counters with a nice double leg into guard. Shevchenko stands up over Leopoldo, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Leopoldo wants to sweep here but Shevchenko controlling him for the moment. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Leopoldo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Shevchenko can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Shevchenko chips away with some ground and pound. Leopoldo looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Shevchenko trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Shevchenko wants to control from the top but Leopoldo keeps moving. Leopoldo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Shevchenko manages to get himself to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shevchenko is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Leopoldo throws a big elbow that misses. Leopoldo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Shevchenko working for a triangle but Leopoldo defends it easily.
Shevchenko looking to hit a scissor sweep but Leopoldo is one step ahead there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shevchenko is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Shevchenko looking for a guillotine here but Leopoldo defends easily.
Leopoldo postures up in Shevchenko's guard and throws a big left but Shevchenko blocks it. Shevchenko lands some strikes from the bottom. Leopoldo chips away with some ground and pound. Leopoldo has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Shevchenko to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Leopoldo is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Shevchenko pulls down on the head and he's put Leopoldo to sleep! This one is all over!
