Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Truth (ranked 1463 p4p, 182 weight class) and Eric Alequin (ranked 1482 p4p, 185 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, David Hoff and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alequin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A telegraphed right hand from Alequin misses the target.
A punch lands to the side of Alequin 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Truth slips a straight right by Alequin.
Truth moves out of range as Alequin strikes.
Truth throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Alequin counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Alequin wants to take a breather but Truth is having none of it.
Alequin is working for a kimura but Truth is defending it quite comfortably.
Still in half guard, Alequin seems content to control.
Alequin is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Truth gets back to full guard.
Truth on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Truth tries to get out of the position.

Alequin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Alequin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Alequin is looking to work some ground and pound but Truth has wrist control.
Alequin drops back looking for a leg! Truth is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Truth manages to kick Alequin off! Alequin jumps back into Truth's guard.

Alequin wants to control from the top but Truth keeps moving.

Truth looking for a sweep. Not yet Truth, not yet.
Alequin drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Truth manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Alequin has Truth in his guard.
Alequin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Truth doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Truth manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Alequin has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Truth is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Alequin.

Alequin is looking to regain half guard here but Truth keeps moving and retains side control.
Alequin is not content to let Truth control the position.
Alequin tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Alequin doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Truth throws a good cross that connects.
Truth looks to throw the jab but Alequin is out of range.
Alequin throws the left hand but Truth avoids the punch easily.

Truth batters Alequin with a massive right followed by a huge left! Alequin is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Truth lands a final crushing right hand to drop Alequin to the mat with a gruesome thud! Truth is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
