The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Will closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Will lands in his opponent's guard.
Will stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kinney swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Will trying to control but Kinney is working from the bottom.
Will wants to pass the guard but Kinney is keeping the position.
Will slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Will is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Kinney is trying to escape and Will transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Kinney is forced to tap! Nice work there by Will! Very nice indeed!
