Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Touro Sentado! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bob Heat! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Felipe Paraventi and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Heat scores with a nice head shot. Bob Heat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sentado throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like Bob Heat has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Heat wants to clinch up but Sentado keeps it at a distance. Sentado shoots in but no luck this time. Sentado shoots in for a double leg but Heat sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. A swing and a miss from Heat. Heat darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Heat prevents Sentado from improving his position. Sentado kicks Heat off and gets back to his feet. Sentado takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Sentado fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Touro Sentado. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sentado closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Sentado trying to control from half guard but Heat is working away. Heat is trying to maintain the position but Sentado is very close to passing his half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Heat punching from the bottom.
Sentado postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Heat to stand up. Sentado is breathing heavily. Heat bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Sentado! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Heat really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sentado. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Heat is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Sentado is rocked! Heat distracts Sentado with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Oh Sentado is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Heat distracts Sentado with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Heat loads up on a big left hand. Sentado felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Heat looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Sentado can't hide his disappointment, as Heat celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bob Heat!
