Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Sung (ranked 2629 p4p, 237 weight class) and Drederick Tatum (ranked 2541 p4p, 227 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sam Sung! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Drederick Tatum! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Francis DeMontford and Darius Henderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sung shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tatum's guard. Sung trying to control the position from guard on top but Tatum is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tatum tries to land a sweep but no joy. Sung throwing strikes but missing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sung stays in close to Tatum's body and controls the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sung wants to pass the guard but Tatum is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sung controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Sung pushing down on Tatum's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Sung sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Tatum defending well though. Tatum really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sung. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sung is pressing down on Tatum's thigh, looking to free his foot. Tatum is holding on for now. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tatum can do anything to dispel that myth. Sung is stalling here. Tatum is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Sung seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Tatum has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Sung tries to get back to half guard but can't. Sung wants to control but Tatum postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sung sneaks back into half guard. Tatum is thwarting Sung's attempts to control the position. Sung is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The fighters are battling for position here. Sung manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Sung escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tatum gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Tatum avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sung is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tatum is aware though and is defending well. Sung working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Tatum has passed into half guard!

Tatum wants to take a breather but Sung is having none of it. Sung is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Tatum pulls his head out easily. Sung tries to roll over but Tatum keeps him under control.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sung tries to get to full guard but Tatum has control of the leg. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sam Sung dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Sung swings widly with a right hand
and Tatum counters with a lovely straight right hand! Sung misses with a takedown attempt and Tatum counters with a straight right hand. Sung looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Sung ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Sung throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Tatum tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sung is in Tatum's guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sung accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Sung controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Sung is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sung throwing strikes but missing. Sung preventing the sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sung throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tatum works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Sung makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Tatum working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Sung. Sung trying to control but Tatum is working from the bottom. Sung postures up in Tatum's guard and throws a big left but Tatum blocks it. Sung throws a strike but Tatum rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Sung wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Tatum is now in half guard. Tatum not doing much here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sung is trying to get back to full guard.

A close second round but Drederick Tatum will probably get the nod - 10:9. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Tatum looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Sung shoots in looking for a takedown but Tatum manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sung's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Tatum tries to sprawl but Sung drives through with a takedown into half guard. Sung seems to be working for a kimura but Tatum defends the submission attempt. Sung trying to control the action but Tatum is working from the bottom. Sung throwing shots but Tatum is blocking nicely. Sung is trying to work for a kimura but Tatum is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sung works his foot free and advances to mount. Tatum is looking to improve his position but Sung isn't that keen on the idea. Sung lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Tatum hang on? Sung working away from the top, dropping strikes. Sung jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Tatum is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Tatum and Sung has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sung tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sung has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Sung moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Sung wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Tatum, who protects the arm well. Tatum stops Sung from passing to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sung advances nicely into full mount. Sung tries to control but Tatum wriggling away. Sung throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Tatum because Sung loaded up on that one. Tatum takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Sung looking to control but Tatum is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Tatum takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sung is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Tatum can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Sung goes for an armbar but Tatum turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Tatum. Sam Sung overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Sung tries to land a sweep but no joy. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sung manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tatum manages to get himself to full guard.
Sung drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Tatum dives on top into guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Sam Sung showed his dominance in that final round. I think Sung has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
