And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tommy Webb!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Dirk Anderson and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Embree fails to land the takedown.
Embree looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Webb is fending him off so far but Embree persists. Nope, Webb circles away and we're back to standing.
Embree is looking to clinch but Webb is avoiding it.
Embree misses with a takedown attempt

and Webb moves into the clinch.

Webb jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Embree walks away with a smile on his face. Webb gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Embree got a little sloppy there for a moment and Webb has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Embree has managed to get both his arms back between Webb's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Webb looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Embree working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Embree shoots for a double leg takedown but Webb sprawls well. He's pushed Embree's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Webb is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.

Embree shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Webb but Webb pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Webb unleashes a big counter combination but Embree bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Webb manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Embree has Webb pressed against the cage, preventing Webb from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Embree successfully pulls guard.
Embree tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Embree is trying to keep Webb in close.
Embree bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Webb's guard.

Webb throws his legs up looking for a submission but Embree uses it to pass to side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Webb tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Embree shoots in but no luck this time.
Embree wants to clinch

Embree shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Webb but Webb pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Embree scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Webb throws a sloppy head kick and Embree moves out of range easily.
Webb keeps the fight on the outside.
Embree looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Webb shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Webb with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Webb is just content to waste time from the top position. Embree takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Embree looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Embree lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Webb is looking to get back to full guard here but Embree has managed to pass to side control instead.
Embree wants to lay and pray for a moment but Webb keeps working.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Webb can do anything to dispel that myth.

Matthew Embree overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Webb is not content to let Embree control the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Webb is trying to improve his position.
Embree wants to control but Webb is keeping him busy.

Embree tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Webb is trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Matthew Embree will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Webb decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Embree has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Webb can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Embree is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Embree thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Embree looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Webb is defending well. Embree quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Webb has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Embree celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
