Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Samual Marquez (ranked 25275 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Will (ranked 5427 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Samual Marquez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Will!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Ben Hemmingworth and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Will shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Will throws a big right hand that misses.
Marquez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Will on the ground.

Marquez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Will gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Will advances position into side control!
Will lands a decent elbow from side control.
Marquez prevents Will from moving into mount.
Marquez is not content to let Will control the position.
Marquez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Will in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Will is looking to take a break and control but Marquez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Marquez avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Will.

Will working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Marquez could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Will tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Will has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
A lull in the action here.
Will is looking to take a break and control but Marquez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Marquez regains half guard, as Will was trying to land strikes.
Will is trying to control the action in half guard but Marquez is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Will has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Will can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Marquez is looking to escape.

Will might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Marquez haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Marquez takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Marquez is bucking up trying to escape but Will cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Marquez has left one of his arms exposed and Will doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Marquez screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
