Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ron Jahn (ranked 7224 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Frost (ranked 5835 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mark Frost was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ron Jahn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mark Frost! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yuuki Gou and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Frost fails with the takedown. Frost leaves Jahn with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Frost closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Frost is taking a breather. Jahn says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Jahn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Frost on the ground. Let's hope that Frost has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jahn has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Frost is on him like a limpet, forcing Jahn back against the cage. Jahn tries to pull guard but Frost forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Frost wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Jahn tries to land knees in the clinch but Frost avoids the damage to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Frost drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jahn gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Frost. Frost manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Jahn on his heels. He'll look to pass Jahn's guard now, I'm sure. Frost stands up and waves to Jahn to follow him. Frost defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jahn. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ron Jahn. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jahn is breathing heavily. Frost lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Jahn stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jahn wants it to stay on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Frost doesn't succeed with the takedown and Jahn counters with a left and a right that stings Frost. Frost lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jahn circles away quickly and effectively. Jahn tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Jahn throws a sloppy head kick and Frost moves out of range easily. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Frost. Jahn is looking for a counter combo. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Frost moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Frost shoots in but Jahn avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jahn closes this distance looking for a takedown but Frost circles away. As Jahn backs off Frost throws a huge counter combo but Jahn manages to avoid it all. Frost gets a clinch. Frost turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Frost manages to end up in side control. Frost works to advance to full mount. Jahn defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Frost raining down shots from the mount! Jahn is trying to stand but he's just given Frost his back. Frost is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Jahn up.
Frost has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Jahn's body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Frost has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Jahn! Can he survive? No! He's out! Frost gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Mark Frost!
