Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gaviao JiuJitsu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jeremy Jitsu!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Mauricio Rocha and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

JiuJitsu shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
JiuJitsu scoring with punches to the head and body.
JiuJitsu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jitsu swivels though and keeps the full guard.
JiuJitsu wants to get up but he can't break Jitsu's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jitsu working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. JiuJitsu doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. JiuJitsu manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Jitsu is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

JiuJitsu might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jitsu, right into the meat.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
JiuJitsu shoots in and drives through. Jitsu sprawls well.

Jitsu is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real.
JiuJitsu tries to stand but Jitsu is controlling from the bottom.

Jitsu is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

JiuJitsu works a leg free and moves into half guard.
JiuJitsu is nestled in close to Jitsu, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Jitsu wants to improve his position but JiuJitsu is controlling well.
JiuJitsu is thwarting Jitsu's attempts to control the position.

Jitsu is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but JiuJitsu pulls his head out easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

JiuJitsu is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Jitsu is not content to let JiuJitsu control the position.
JiuJitsu wants to pass the guard but Jitsu is defending well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

JiuJitsu decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gaviao JiuJitsu dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!

and JiuJitsu counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jitsu's guard now.
Jitsu looking to hit a scissor sweep but JiuJitsu is one step ahead there.
Jitsu trying to keep a closed guard but JiuJitsu is proving a slippery customer.

JiuJitsu is sitting in close to Jitsu's body. Jitsu has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! JiuJitsu is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, JiuJitsu is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Jitsu.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Jeremy Jitsu!
