Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jorden Ellis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ellis comes into the arena with M.E.T.H.O.D. Man blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Carter's choice of entrance music: 99 Problems Remix. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jorden Ellis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shawn Carter! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A shot to de liver by Ellis. Beautiful body shot. Ellis steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Carter. That one must have hurt. Carter throws a half hearted mid kick. Carter stuffs the takedown. Ellis pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ellis avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ellis checks a leg kick nicely. Carter walks into a jab. The fight stays on the outside here - Carter looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Carter feints and as Ellis raises his hands in defense, Carter changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carter trying to control but Ellis is working from the bottom. Carter decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ellis, up you get! Ellis with a lazy takedown attempt and Carter counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Ellis! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ellis trying desperately to get to his feet.
Ellis is breathing heavily. Ellis is trying to escape the mount.
Carter with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Ellis wants to hold on but Carter pushes him away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ellis throwing hammer fists to the chest of Carter. What's that going to do exactly? Ellis really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Carter landing strikes from the mount. Carter is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Carter avoids the head kick by Ellis.
Carter changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ellis looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Carter is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ellis has escaped the position, nice work there. Ellis manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Ellis gets back to full guard.
Carter wants to control from the top but Ellis keeps moving. Ellis throws his legs up looking for a submission but Carter uses it to pass to side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ellis is trying to improve his position. Carter in side control lands a decent elbow. Ellis struggling a bit here. Carter stands up. Ellis moves out of range of the body kick from Carter.
Ellis misses with a takedown and Carter counters with a shoot takedown. Ellis fights it but they end up in guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jorden Ellis. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ellis can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Carter controls the pace. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Carter works over Ellis with some ground and pound from guard. Carter not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Ellis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carter postures up.
Ellis tries to strike from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carter gets to his feet. Ellis looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Carter throws a right and a left that Ellis avoids nicely. Ellis scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Carter is trying to control Ellis's posture but Ellis avoids it. Ellis working the ground and pound. Ellis working away. Carter manages to get back to half guard. Carter gets back to full guard.
Ellis missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Ellis lands a couple of digs. Ellis throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Ellis keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Carter's head.
Carter is rocked! Carter has momentary wrist control but Ellis slips an elbow through the middle. Carter is still in real trouble! Can Ellis finish him?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ellis distracts Carter with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Ellis thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Ellis controls from within his opponent's guard. Carter has momentary wrist control but Ellis slips an elbow through the middle. Ellis stands up and waves to Carter to follow him. Ellis darts in and clinches Carter up against the cage. Carter seems to have recovered his senses. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Carter can't get the takedown.
Ellis breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ellis with a poor takedown and Carter counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ellis lands one or two decent shots to the body here. Although from his own half guard, he's not going to be causing too much damage. Ellis is trying to get back to full guard. Carter is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Ellis has managed to free his arm - good work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shawn Carter dominated that round. That's time! Ellis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Carter throws a low kick but it's checked well by Ellis. Carter lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Ellis at a distance.
Carter tries to clinch up and Ellis counters with a nice low kick that buckles Carter's knee momentarily. Carter tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Carter shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Carter controlling the position easily from mount. Carter trying to control but he's not successful this time. Shawn Carter has got the better of the ground game so far. Carter looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Carter connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carter gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Carter darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Carter is keen to just control but Ellis is a slippery customer. Ellis wants to get back to full guard. Carter is keen to just control but Ellis is a slippery customer. Ellis is looking to control Carter's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ellis avoid being mounted? Carter is looking to take a break and control but Ellis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Carter prevents Ellis from improving his position. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Carter connects with a nice short shot to Ellis's temple. Carter is keen to just control but Ellis is a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ellis slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Carter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ellis swivels though and keeps the full guard. Carter gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Ellis changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Carter misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ellis has his takedown stuffed and Carter counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Carter is looking to take a break and control but Ellis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ellis gets full guard. Carter works over Ellis with some ground and pound from guard. Carter advances to half guard. Carter working the head and body with strikes. Carter passes to side control. Carter cracks Ellis with a big elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ellis is looking for a sweep. Ellis misses with a strike from the bottom. Carter has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ellis manages to work his way to half guard, despite Carter's best efforts. Carter is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Carter jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Ellis is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Ellis and Carter has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Carter wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ellis, who protects the arm well. Ellis struggling a bit here. Carter is putting a hurting on Ellis here, landing some big shots from side control. Carter working away. Carter landing strikes. Ellis sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carter looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Carter is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Carter trying to pass the guard but Ellis defending well. Ellis trying to control here.
Carter prevents Ellis from improving his position. Carter looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ellis with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Carter is trying to control the action in half guard but Ellis is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ellis wants to get back to full guard but Carter has passed into side control. Carter is in the full mount, landing strikes. Carter get's back to his feet. Jorden Ellis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Carter clinches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shawn Carter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Ellis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Carter tries to keep at a distance but Ellis has taken the fight into the clinch. Ellis jumps guard.

Carter slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Ellis can't do much from the bottom here. Carter is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ellis has escaped the position, nice work there. Ellis is looking to reverse the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Carter tries to clinch but Ellis moves away and Ellis counters with a nice low kick that buckles Carter's knee momentarily. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Carter forces Ellis back against the cage and clinches. Carter lands a body shot. A body shot lands from Carter.
Ellis breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Carter looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Carter lands the left hand. Carter closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Carter lands in his opponent's guard. Ellis lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Carter! Ellis looking to finish with strikes here!
Ellis avoids the attempt from Carter to control. Carter is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ellis working away from the top, dropping strikes.
It looks like Shawn Carter has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Carter takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Ellis dominating with strikes here. Ellis pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
That has opened up Shawn Carter's cut even more. Ellis lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Shawn Carter's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Shawn Carter's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
