The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boy rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Riise moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Boy, as that shot connected.
A combination from Riise does no damage.
Riise dodges the punch combination from Boy.
Riise throws a hook but Boy avoids it easily.
A nice leg kick lands there from Riise.
Nice defenses there by Riise.
Boy throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Riise sees it coming and avoids it easily.

and Riise counters with a body kick.

Boy looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Riise tries to score a power double leg takedown but Boy sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Riise somewhat.

Boy stalks Riise and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Riise's face. Riise staggers backwards, shaken.

Boy lands a nice hook to Riise's body. Riise takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Boy wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to John Riise.
