Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nick Rowler (ranked 24591 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Gomez (ranked 5117 p4p, 0 weight class). Eddie Gomez told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Rowler scores with a nice strike.
Gomez shoots in looking for a takedown but Rowler manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gomez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

so Gomez counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Gomez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gomez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Rowler wants to sweep here but Gomez controlling him for the moment.
Gomez drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Gomez seems to have locked his on tight now - Rowler screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Gomez, as he picks up the win!
