The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Winston Alpacca and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vinicius keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Vinicius defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Petrovski.
Vinicius wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Petrovski tries a head kick but it misses.
Vinicius wants to clinch up but Petrovski keeps it at a distance.
Vinicius tries to close the distance and clinch up but Petrovski swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Vinicius pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Petrovski back to the cage. Vinicius follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Petrovski shoots in for a double leg but Vinicius sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Vinicius is on top in guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Petrovski can do anything to dispel that myth.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Petrovski working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vinicius doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vinicius manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Vinicius scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Vinicius tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Petrovski manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Petrovski has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Vinicius uses from the top position.

Vinicius can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Petrovski is looking to escape.
Petrovski tries to improve his position but Vinicius has taken his back! Vinicius has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Petrovski tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Vinicius pushes Petrovski away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
