Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

32 - 94 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mountain Rivera!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivera fails with the takedown
and Shannon counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Mountain Rivera has been cut.
Rivera darts in trying to clinch
and Shannon counters with a crisp right hand that drops Rivera! Shannon lets Rivera back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Rivera is rocked!
Rivera shoots and misses
and Shannon counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Rivera tries for a takedown but Shannon circles away easily
and Shannon counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Rivera is still on wobbly legs! Can Shannon finish him?
Mike Shannon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mountain Rivera.
Rivera looks winded!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Shannon throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Rivera seems to have recovered his senses.
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Shannon moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Rivera! Shannon continues to tee off on Rivera, landing with a left and a right! Shannon connects with a right hand that leaves Rivera sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Shannon!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Mike Shannon!
A relieved looking Mike Shannon thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
